Police headquarters catch fire


The Board of Development and Security building at the National Police Headquarters complex in Jakarta caught fire at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

The fire was alleged to have come from one of the rooms in the building.

Tempointeraktif.com reported the South Jakarta Fire Department managed to extinguish the blazing site, which is located on Jl. Trunojoyo 8, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

Board chief Comr. Gen. Iman Haryatna said the blaze was the first incident ever engulfing the building.

No further information on the cause of the fire was available yet.
