Yuddy Chrisnandi quits Golkar, joins Hanura

Young politician Yuddy Chrisnandi had left Golkar Party and joined the People Conscience Party (Hanura), Hanura advisory board chairman Bambang W. Suharto said Sunday.

"We shared the same vision and Yuddy did not demand anything," Bambang said as quoted by Antara news agency

Yuddy lost in the Golkar chairmanship race late last year.

Bambang said Hanura's chairman Wiranto had talked with him about Yuddy's intention to join Hanura.

Hanura's deputy chairman Akbar Faizal said Hanura needed a progressive member like Yuddy.

"This [Yuddy's move] is positive for Hanura's future," he said.
