Students offer stinky shoes, socks to govt

Students have many ways to express their protest against ruling President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Vice President Boediono, including offering their “stinky” shoes and socks during a protest in front of the House of Representatives building in Jakarta, on Wednesday.

“These (shoes) are a symbol for you (government). Reveal Bank Century’s bailout case, fight corruption and stop lobbying,” the students repeatedly sang along their yell.

“We’ve had enough with you, government. Here they are, our stinky socks and shoes for you,” the students continued their singing, as reported by kompas.com news portal.

The House's Century bailout inquiry committee entered the second day of a plenary session on Wednesday in search for its position on the case.
