Mulyani silent on House session

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati refused to comment on the House of Representatives’ plenary to decide on the Bank Century bailout on Tuesday.

“We'll wait for the results, won’t we?” she said.

Five parties at the House have recommended Mulyani face due legal process for her decision to bail out the bank, which the parties said was flawed.

The plenary session turned into chaos following a debate over whether the House voted on the case on Tuesday, rather than Wednesday as originally scheduled, prompting House Speaker Marzuki Ali to declare the meeting be postponed.
