Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati dismissed speculation that she will be railroaded from the Cabinet for her role in approving the bailout of Bank Century in 2008.

“There will be no reshuffle, the President [Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono] has given his word,” she told reporters at the House of Representatives.

Anas Urbanungrum, the House chairman of Yudhoyono's Democratic Party, also said he believed the President would not replace any minister in the near future.

Speculation is been rife that Mulyani will be booted from her post following a reported deal between Golkar Party chairman Aburizal Bakrie and Yudhoyono.

The deal has reportedly been made to resolve the controversy over the Rp 6.76 trillion (US$716 million) bailout of Century.

Mulyani was one of the people responsible for the bailout decision, which was made on Nov. 21, 2008, along with then Bank Indonesia governor and current Vice President Boediono.
