Brimob personnel arrested for robbery

Jakarta Police has arrested members of the Mobile Brigade Unit (Brimob), identified for allegedly being involved in a jewelry shop robbery.

Mobile Brigade Unit director Sr. Adj. Comr. Ahmad Rifai confirmed the arrest, saying that the police also seized a Colt-type firearm, an assembled handgun, bullets, a van, five gold necklaces and Rp 54 million (US$5,800) in cash.

“The suspects were nabbed in Lampung, as well as in Kuningan and Bekasi of West Java,” said Ahmad on Monday as quoted by
